Greetings,
Google earth is a wonderful time killer, you can catch me here, 36°54'32.31"S / 174°42'59.56"E.
We have killer dogs, trained assassin pigeons and many throwable books on managing retail stores, so don't get any ideas. A gang lives to the left of us and to the right of us, we have Mormons behind us.
So it is time to focus on the future once more and look at my options for the future, I do enjoy the management aspect of my job, I do not like "not knowing" where I am going, I have no idea of where I am supposed to be leading the team...
So, I'm thinking of change hence my last attempt at finding a job.
So, I've looked at what I like and come up with two interesting career paths, one is a complete change and focusing on computer forensics, the other is a similar role to my current one, though in the technology sector and minus the stores.
I enjoy technology and have worked in that sector prior.
I do however, enjoy contact with people, and retail is very cool for that, especially within the tourism sector.
If I could get a mixture of the two, then that would be crazy but cool.
I am 32, so it is not too late to go back to school and become a programmer or what have you, then step back out in to the workforce at 36. (maybe not)
The position I am looking at requires some interesting things, an MBA among others. Some areas of experience of which I have very little, unless I tell lies.
A great knowledge of the Internet is also required, I'm not sure if knowing the right bit torrent sites and p2p applications for finding copyrighted material counts. (I only said find!)
However, other areas are sweet and I am confident of my skill.
So it's now a balance, and spending a week writing the letter that hopefully stands out like proverbial furry dogs bollocks.
Should I not aim so high?
Keep you posted.
