Lobby Store Retailing: Where's the rope?

I have been helping out with a lobby store, that is, helping staff it etc...

I have no real clue about working in one. The product ranges and promotions and suppliers etc... are no problem at all, as I can transfer that experience from my current position, so, in order to bridge this chasm of experience I spent the whole day working there.

I have discovered new meaning to the adjective, boring.

I can't believe how boring it actually was, there were jack customers all day, I got so bored in fact that across the day I ordered three platters from the restaurant. I now hate platters. Yuck.

When a customer came in it was like visiting day in a prison, (I conject here) or one of those annoying little dogs with too much energy that jumps up and down turning in mid air when you come home, I was so pleased to see them and didn't want them to leave... at least until they'd shed some dollars.

Compared to sales, I'd eaten more food and drank more OJ and coffee...

Oh well, one more thing to cross off the goal list.

Did I mention this place is pink? Fucking Pink!
